This is my contribution to the Southport Massacre. It is concerned principally with earlier and quite shocking crimes which have just as shockingly seen the perpetrators paroled.
My apologies for the inconsistent quality of the video but apart from the photograph of David McGreavy, there is nothing herein that requires visual, it is all me talking. I have done my best to edit out the ums and ahs though it would be better not to include them at all.
One tiny, insignificant correction, the McGreavy photograph appears to have been taken by a photographer working for The Sun, or at any rate it first appeared in The Sun, as a front page exclusive, on January 2, 2006 and was taken the previous year. It has since appeared in many publications, including Mail Online.
