My February 20 obituary for Ted Goodman is fairly extensive, but one thing I didn’t mention was his blog. I will spare the reader the sordid details but shortly after his death, this was deleted along with his Clio History website.
TheGoodmanHistoryBlog consisted of 43 posts: the first 3 from 2013, the last 3 from 2021. I kept pestering him to add more but unlike me, he wasn’t his own man, having a lot on his plate with work, family and other commitments.
When I went to retrieve the blog articles I found most of them had not been archived, or so I thought, but on May 10, I was able to access all of them. I was informed recently that the Wayback Machine can be temperamental, and that sometimes for technical reasons, pages and especially large video files are temporarily unavailable or even disappear.
Two months ago, I created The EDWARD GOODMAN VIRTUAL ARCHIVE to which I uploaded the blog entries I was able to rescue. I intend now to gather them all into one long PDF file arranged chronologically and upload this as an eBook.
This will take some time and is also not my first priority. I am currently re-indexing Ted’s magnum opus and hope to publish it later this month, only as an eBook, sadly, but hopefully this will at least entail that it will be widely read.
Glad you are caring. Both Terry and Ted had very interesting thoughts and both agreed that information should be available to everyone. Too much was hidden and used against others unfairly.
