The Chicken Chaser
On the off-chance you haven’t heard of it, Chick-fil-A is an American restaurant chain founded in 1967. It specialises in what are called chicken sandwiches but most people would call this type of sandwich a roll or a bun.
Apart from soft drinks and a couple of salads, that is its entire menu - chicken and no other meat. Not only that, Chick-fil-A restaurants don’t open on Sundays, which is bad news for those who want to grab a Sunday lunch on the way home from church, church being the operative word because the founder of the restaurant chain was a Baptist and Sunday school teacher.
Samuel Truett Cathy died in 2014 at the age of 93, and was one of these Christians who put his money where his mouth is. In 1984, he founded the WinShape Foundation which focuses on education and marriage.
In spite of its size, Chick-fil-A is still very much a family business; its current Chairman is the eldest son of the founder. It is also still very much a company run on Christian principles, and this annoys some people, including veteran trouble-maker Peter Tatchell.
In case you are not familiar with Mr Tatchell, he is a homosexual activist who has a long history of high profile mischief which has seen him arrested many times. The photograph below was taken in 1994 when he was protesting against an Islamic conference at Wembley.
Contrary to his assertion, it isn’t true that the Saudis routinely execute homosexuals; here is a press release from 2010 about a man convicted of this perversion. Although clearly a repeat offender, he received a much more lenient sentence.
There is no evidence that Chick-fil-A executes or even whips homosexuals, but for Mr Tatchell, that isn’t good enough. Chick-fil-A has a handful of restaurants in these islands, but appears to be expanding, and Mr Tatchell claims to have found its “secret” UK HQ. If it is secret, there is a good reason for that, because Mr Tatchell and assorted reprobates have been picketing it on account of the company funding “anti-LGBT+ groups & campaigns”.
Mr Tatchell claims the company’s brand is toxic. Is the Chick-fil-A brand toxic? No, but Mr Tatchell’s certainly is. Here he is saying the quiet part out loud.

Dear Alexander, The terrifying fact is that the toxicity of a Mister Peter Tatchell is an endemic fact shared by not a few in our society. An existentialist malady that needs to be confronted in all of its guises by the dynamics of Thought And Action counter-revolutionaries with intransigent courage. God Bless, Aristo Boho
