One Sad Result Of The Starmer Government’s War On Private Schools
If you didn’t read They Dared Call It Conspiracy, refresh your memory here. That article and the following one about the war on our farmers should make it clear that this Communist Government wants to steal their land. They also want to destroy the middle classes, and what better way to do that than drive the next generation out of private schools into public schools where they can be indoctrinated by apparatchiks masquerading as teachers?
Adding 20% VAT to school fees has already led to school closures. This article from last month attempts to play this down, which if nothing else should lead one to question the publisher’s objectivity. A more reliable source reported something very different. This was a popular vlogger who comments mainly on legal matters, being a practising barrister, but like many others he has become alarmed at the lies and insane policies the Starmer gang has been churning out. Recently, he reported on the case of a woman who had been sending her daughter to a private school until the tax hike, and can now no longer afford to do so.
How the brilliant Times cartoonist Morten Morland views Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
As she does not live in a major city, she had a difficult task finding a state school, and when she found one, it was some twenty miles away. Now here is the punchline, her local authority has a duty to transport her daughter to school, which will cost it eight thousand pounds a year in taxi fares.
This is a classic case of the law of unintended consequences, people, especially politicians, find a problem (an imaginary one in this case) then apply a rapid fix without thinking. The solution creates a new problem which in many cases is worse than the original. Eric Sevareid may not have been the first person to point this out, but he was right on the money.
The Starmer gang is continuing to create problems, the biggest and ongoing being allowing in swarms of illegal migrants who are helping impoverish the country while repressive taxation is driving wealthy people, investors and high earners abroad. The fact that other people are suffering is cold comfort to a schoolgirl who now has to make a forty mile round trip daily because of the dogmatism of our increasingly despotic rulers.
