There have been some idiotic claims made about Donald Trump’s appointments for FBI Director and Deputy Director, including that neither man is qualified to hold such a post.

Kash Patel was both a public defender and a federal prosecutor before working with Devin Nunes to expose the Deep State conspiracy against Trump IXV. Dan Bongino was a police officer in New York City then a Secret Service Agent before rising to prominence as one of the leading conservative podcasters in the world. He also did a ton of research and published books on the machinations of the same Deep State, the one we are all supposed to believe does not really exist.

After yesterday’s arrest of the alleged January 6 pipe bomber, their critics can eat crow.

Perhaps the biggest complaint made against Patel is that he was doing the bidding of his master, purging the Bureau of time-serving, dedicated agents. The reality is that he was cleaning the Augean Stables, and the proof of this is that the Washington pipe bombing case could have been solved four years ago because the FBI under Christopher Wray had all or almost all the relevant evidence but sat on it.

This led to intelligent speculation, including by Bongino on his podcast, that the pipe bombs were a black op aimed at blaming the MAGA movement. That claim seemed to have been borne out recently when a female suspect with stellar credentials was identified. The evidence against her was impressive. And wrong. So what do we really have here?

In short, this is yet another example of two-tier justice, and an incredibly foolish one because clearly the pipe bomber could have made another attempt, somewhere else where there was far less security.

In the meantime, Brian Cole is entitled to the presumption of innocence, but the fact that he has impressive left wing credentials will leave many anti-Trump pundits with egg on their faces.

This arrest will also go some way to alleviating the embarrassment the Administration faced over the Jeffrey Epstein child sex trafficking network, which has now been thoroughly exposed as the product of the sick mind of the late Virginia Giuffre, a posse of corrupt lawyers, a complicit media, and a gaggle of demented women, like prostitute Sarah Ransome.

Now, Patel, Bongino, Pam Bondi and the rest of Trump’s handpicked team can get on with holding the traitors within to account, starting with the refiling of charges against James Comey, and perhaps even an indictment of Hillary Clinton.
